Cyfrowy Polsat with a new president. Piotr Żak takes over after the court's verdict


The court in Liechtenstein decided today on the succession to Zygmunt Solorz. It upheld the judgment of the first instance court. This means that he sided with the children of the creator of Cyfrowy Polsat. As a result, the billionaire's children: Aleksandra Żak, Tobias Solorz and Piotr Żak take over the company. Ultimately, the latter becomes the president, as announced by the company.

The court in Liechtenstein sided with Zygmunt Solorz's children
As we previously wrote in Business Insider Polska, Polsat reportedthat the court in Liechtenstein had validly dismissed the claim Zygmunt Solorzquestioning the changes made to the group's foundational structures. The Princely Court of Appeal of Vaduz found that all declarations made by Solorz on August 2, 2024 – regarding the amendment of the statute, succession and resolutions – are valid, effective and binding. The court also confirmed that the transfer of founding rights to Tobiasz Solorz, Aleksandra Żak and Piotr Żak took place fully consciously and without any legal defects. The judgment is final and binding.

Changes at Cyfrowy Polsat. There is a new president after the court verdict
Although Zygmunt Solorz's representative announced the possibility of using extraordinary legal measures before the local Supreme Court, these proceedings would not concern a re-examination of the facts, but only possible violations of the law. The decision of the court in Liechtenstein thus strengthens the formal basis for the recent ownership and personnel changes in the group, including the appointment of the new president of Cyfrowy Polsat, who ultimately became Piotr Żak.
