SuperLiga: Florin Tănase, after the “big victory” in the derby with Rapid: “In the end, this is how we like to live, with emotions”

The player Florin Tănase stated, after the derby with Rapid, won by FCSB with a score of 2-1, that the victory of his team was deserved, even if the opponents controlled the second part of the game.

“A big victory, in the derby, we are happy. I think we played a very good first half, after which in the second half they had control of the game. But, overall, it's a well-deserved victory. In the end, that's how we like to live, with emotions. It's good that it ended like this, it doesn't matter anymore. Yes, football is beautiful when there are emotions”, Florin Tănase said on the rights-holding televisions, according to Agerpres.

“In 2026 we have to be ready, to have a good training period. We have to come back with a great desire to prove that we are the best team in Romania, as we did in the last matches. Now it doesn't seem to me that we are the best team in Romania. In the first half, yes, in the second, no. We have to play, learn to play until the last minute. It's a difference that we have to recover. We have to be aware and let's play every match to win”, added the player of the champion, after the match.

FCSB defeated Rapid București with a score of 2-1 (1-0), on Sunday evening, at the National Arena, in a derby that counted for the 21st stage of the Football Super League.

The champion opened the scoring through Darius Olaru (24), with a shot to the long corner, after a combination with Daniel Bîrligea. Florin Tănase (75 – penalty) scored the hosts' second goal, after a handball by Denis Ciobotariu.

The Rapid team's goal was scored by Alexandru Dobre (86 – penalty), after Danijel Graovac fouled Claudiu Petrila in the box. It was the first penalty received by Rapid in this championship.

FCSB went on an eight game unbeaten streak, five wins and three draws.

Rapid has only one win in five stages, one draw and three defeats.

In the round, the score was equal, 2-2.
