In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, based on materials from an inspection by the transport prosecutor’s office, criminal cases have been opened regarding the smuggling of timber worth more than 32 million rubles. This was reported by the press service of the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.
During an inspection of the implementation of customs legislation during the export of timber products, the Krasnoyarsk Transport Prosecutor's Office established that the entrepreneur illegally exported coniferous timber with a volume of over 4 thousand cubic meters. meters worth more than 32 million rubles. At the same time, forest products were declared using false documents about the source of origin of the wood.
“The transport prosecutor's office sent the inspection materials to the customs authority to resolve the issue of criminal prosecution. Based on the results of their consideration, criminal cases were initiated under Part 1 of Art. 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (smuggling of strategically important resources on a large scale),” – the supervisory authority said.
The progress and results of criminal investigations are under the control of the transport prosecutor's office.
