In Krasnoyarsk, police detained two pedestrians with synthetic drugs in one day (video)

Inspectors of the Krasnoyarsk traffic police regiment throughout the day in different areas of the city detained two pedestrians with synthetic drugs.

The press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the region clarified that the first arrest occurred in the Sovetsky district. During patrol, traffic police officers stopped a suspicious pedestrian to check.

“A 21-year-old young man became nervous when he saw the police. When asked about the presence of substances prohibited for circulation in Russia, the man reported a package in his jacket pocket. Later, an examination qualified the contents of the package as a narcotic substance of synthetic origin weighing 1.785 grams,” the traffic police said.

The second case occurred in the Central region of Krasnoyarsk. Having noticed the traffic police inspectors, the pedestrian tried to throw a package of substance onto the ground and wanted to run away, but was detained by law enforcement officers. The examination showed that the package contained a synthetic drug weighing 3.172 grams.

Criminal cases have been initiated against the detainees under Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, production, processing of narcotic drugs, committed on a large scale.” The men face imprisonment for a term of 3 to 10 years with a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles.
