The regional Office of Rospotrebnadzor told Krasnoyarsk residents how to properly submit a tick for analysis. Experts explained that both living and dead arthropods can be brought for research. However, it is important to keep the tick as intact and intact as possible.
So, if the attached tick was removed alive, it should be placed in a tightly closed container, for example, a glass jar. It is necessary to create high humidity inside so that the tick does not dry out: to do this, put a piece of damp cotton wool or a few fresh blades of grass there.
If the tick is dead, simply place it in a sealed bag.
Store the tick in a cool place at a temperature of +4 to +8 °C (refrigerator, thermos with ice, etc.). For testing, bring the tick to the laboratory as soon as possible.
Let us remind you that last week the first tick-borne infections were registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
