An explosion followed by a fire occurred on Monday morning in a block of flats in Focsani municipality.
The incident took place in a building located on Aleea Echității, in Focşani, around 7:44 a.m., according to ISU Vrancea, reports News.ro and local media.
Five crews from the Focşani Fire Department, with four special fire trucks and the SMURD module, intervened urgently on the scene.
The intervention forces act to locate and extinguish the fire, as well as to secure the affected perimeter.
For the time being, no official information has been communicated regarding possible victims or the causes of the explosion.
The mission is ongoing, and the authorities will return with details as the situation evolves.
