Construction disaster in the Dominican Republic. The number of victims is growing


The Dominican Republic medical services have announced that 189 living people were excavated from the debris of the Jet Set club in the capital of the country, and more than 200 wounded 15 are still in hospitals; Five of them are in a critical condition. Health Minister Victor Attalah stated that the identification of victims is slowly progressing, because in most cases it is necessary to verify using biometric data.
On the night of Monday to Tuesday, the roof of the Night Club collapsed. A concert of the local star popular in the Latin Musrengue music, Rubby Perez, took place inside. Many personalities of the Dominican Republic participated in it.
So far it has been established that among the victims are the governor of the province of Monte Cristi, Nelsa Cruz and two baseball players of the American professional MLB league, Octavio Dotel and Tony Blanco. Perez himself and the saxophonist Luis Solis, who appeared with him on the stage, also died.
It is not known what caused the disaster; An investigation in this matter is underway.
