“Much depends on whether Russia feels a real need to end the war – this cannot be a rhetorical or political game on its part. Unfortunately, the real signals coming from Russia remain only negative: attacks along the front lines, Russian war crimes in border areas and further attacks on our infrastructure. It is crucial that the world does not remain silent about all this,” Zelensky wrote.
The chief Ukrainian negotiator, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, announced on Friday that another round of consultations with the US on the war in Ukraine had been held that day. He was accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, General Andriy Hnatov. As Umierov added, at the invitation of the US, European partners were also involved in this format.
