The first payments of advance payments for land for the airport have started

Centralny Port Komunikacyjny paid the first advance payments to the owners of real estate necessary for the construction of the Port Polska airport – the company announced in a press release.

“The Central Communication Port company, implementing the Port Polska investment program, paid the first advance payments to the owners of real estate that were within the limits set by the location decision for the new domestic airport. They obtained the right to the advance payment thanks to the pro-social amendment to the Act on the Central Communication Port, which entered into force in November last year. Further applications for the payment of advance payments are in progress, and the company makes payments within 30 days from the date of submission of the application” – it was written in the statement.
As recalled, in December 2025, the Masovian Voivodeship Office made the location decision immediately enforceable and initiated administrative proceedings to determine the amount of compensation due for each property covered by this decision.
“Thanks to this, real estate owners could call on the company to pay an advance payment of 85 percent of the compensation immediately after the voivode issued a decision determining its amount. Under the new regulations, they could send this call before the need to hand over the property to the company and do not have to wait for the final decision determining the amount of compensation by the voivode,” it was further written.
It was added that requesting an advance payment does not prevent an appeal against this decision.
“As part of the previously implemented Voluntary Acquisition Program the company purchased 2,592 plots with a total area of over 2,787 hectares in the area covered by the area regulation. In the area covered by the Location Decision for the new airport, almost 65 percent of the area where the investment will be implemented has been acquired,” the information also said.
As added, Of the 310 residential buildings on the site of the future airport, 235 were ultimately purchased under PDN. This means acquiring 76 percent of all residential buildings located within the boundaries covered by the Location Decision.
CPK also reported that after making the location decision immediately enforceable, the owners have so far voluntarily handed over 411 plots with an area of 497 hectares.
According to the adopted schedule, the construction of the airport in the municipalities of Baranów, Wiskitki and Teresin is to begin in 2026. In 2031, the airport is to obtain the necessary certifications, and in 2032 it is to be put into operation. (PAP Business)
