A pedestrian died near the Filimonovo station of the Krasnoyarsk railway. The tragedy happened on December 20.
According to transport police, a 36-year-old local resident was walking along the tracks and did not respond to the warning sounds of a freight train. The driver applied the emergency brake, but a collision could not be avoided – the man was injured by protruding elements of the train.
The pedestrian died on the spot from his injuries.
Currently, a pre-investigation check is being conducted into the incident based on the signs of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic safety rules and operation of railway transport, resulting in death due to negligence).
After another tragedy on the railway road, Krasnoyarsk residents are reminded to follow safety measures: it is dangerous to walk on the tracks and along the railway bed closer than 5 meters to the outermost rail; it is prohibited to cross the tracks if the distance to the approaching train is less than 400 meters; nIt is necessary to cross the tracks only in places designated for this purpose, after reliably making sure that there is no approaching train and that there is a traffic light permitting signal.
