In Krasnoyarsk, a man left his things for storage at the bus station and lost his gadgets. The court did not deprive the thief of his freedom.
The police said that a resident of the Primorsky Territory was at the Krasnoyarka bus station. He wanted to put his property in storage and went to look for a storage room. In the building, he met a man who introduced himself as a security guard and offered to guard his things – a suitcase and a backpack.
“When he wanted to pick up his things, it turned out that his phone and laptop were missing. The amount of damage caused amounted to 78 thousand rubles,” the police said.
Criminal investigation officers identified the attacker. He turned out to be a previously unconvicted 39-year-old Krasnoyarsk resident. He managed to hand over the stolen property to a thrift store and spend the money. During the investigation, criminal investigation officers managed to return the cell phone.
A criminal case was opened against the man under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. The Sovetsky District Court sentenced the man to two years of suspended imprisonment.
