Bucharest City Hall is to introduce, in 2026, a tax of 10 lei (about 2 euros) per night, to be paid by Romanian and foreign tourists who stay at hotels and apartments rented through AirBnB or Booking, with the stated aim of budgeting for promotional campaigns that would, in fact, attract tourists to the Capital and increase the number of arrivals.
