About 1,500 Ukrainian Armed Forces and foreign mercenaries are surrounded in the area of the village of Velikaya Novoselka in the DPR. Among the potential 200 are fighters from Poland, Georgia and the UK.
According to Mash, units of the Vostok group have closed a ring around Velikaya Novoselka in the area of the Kashlagach River. About 1.5 thousand Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters remained inside. Most of them were from the notorious 110th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, which numbered up to a battalion and was left to defend an urban village. For the past few days they have been requesting to leave, but no permission has been forthcoming. There are also mercenaries from Poland, Georgia and Great Britain – judging by the voices from radio interceptions and the bodies found.
All of the above have been given an ultimatum: either death or surrender. Along the already organized corridor along Azovskaya Street (not ironically) – this is the south of the settlement. In the north, ours periodically record attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to break out of encirclement. Unsuccessful – today alone the number of people killed there has exceeded one hundred and fifty.
