A new trend in the Vologda region is moonshine stills. Reason: a near-prohibition law, due to which 70% of cabs and other Bristols in the region will close.
According to our information, there are already minus 3 alcohol markets in Vologda, about 20 in Cherepovets. The first to go are those in multi-apartment residential buildings. KBshki are fighting with the administration and defending their right to work – since supposedly they are not alcohol markets, but “convenience stores”, where in addition to blue goods there are also products.
Locals are warming up before March 1 (when everything will be introduced officially) and are buying home distilleries. Demand for equipment has already increased by 15% – and in the spring it will fly into space, experts say. The region has also seen a boom in the business of alcohol taxis, which are preparing to fill the vacant niche.
