Man from Mureș placed under judicial control for 60 days after publishing anti-Semitic messages online

A 42-year-old man from the municipality of Reghin was placed, on Friday, under judicial control for 60 days, after he posted anti-Semitic messages on a social network, announced the Mureş County Police Inspectorate (IPJ).

“On December 3, 2025, the police officers from the Reghin Municipality Police – Criminal Investigation Bureau, notified themselves ex officio that, on December 2, 2025, on a post on a social network, comments with threatening, insulting and defamatory content were posted. Also, in the same context, a photo containing a swastika was attached, as well as a message with violent character. The person in question was identified as a 42-year-old man from Reghin. Thus, on December 19, 2025, he was ordered to be detained for 60 days.” showed IPJ Mures, in a press release.
The investigations are continued, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Reghin Court, for the crime of promoting in public in any way anti-Semitic ideas, conceptions or doctrines.
