The new head of Krasnoyarsk will be elected on December 23 at an extraordinary session of the city council of deputies. This was reported by the publication “Prima City” with reference to TASS.
Let us remind you that the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov submitted two candidates for this position for consideration. They were the chairman of the regional government, Sergei Vereshchagin, and the head of the Sverdlovsk region of Krasnoyarsk, Liliya Nazmutdinova.
Earlier, Mikhail Kotyukov promised that a new mayor would be elected before the end of the year. Also during the live broadcast, he reported that three people were vying for the post, but at that time the candidates did not provide all the necessary documents.
It is known that the third candidate was to be City Council deputy from the LDPR Ivan Petrov. On his social networks, he said that he does not know the reason why the governor did not nominate him. The party is awaiting an official response from the administration of the head of the region with the reason for the refusal.
