The case of the plastic surgeon who disfigured Krasnoyarsk was brought to court

In Krasnoyarsk, the investigation into the case of a plastic surgeon who caused serious harm to the health of a patient has been completed. This was reported to the regional investigative committee.

The investigation found that in September 2022, a surgeon at a private clinic performed facial plastic surgery on a 63-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk, despite the fact that the hospital did not have the appropriate license. She paid 370 thousand rubles for the service, taking into account the discount for participating in advertising, the Krasnoyarsk resident told the NTV channel.

During the operation, the doctor violated the surgical technique. The woman's health condition worsened – the facial nerve was damaged and an ophthalmological disease was diagnosed.

In May 2023, the surgeon performed a free correction, but again violated the technique. She performed the intervention earlier than recommended, which increased the risk of complications. As the investigation established, as a result of these actions, the woman suffered serious harm to her health.

“This is the result – I’m now crooked. The entire right side of my face goes down and the left side goes up,” the woman said on the air of a federal program.

The investigation has completed the collection of evidence, and the criminal case with an approved indictment has been sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
