I spray it once on the lenses and my glasses don’t fog up either in the subway, or in a cafe, or after frost: transparency lasts all day

With the onset of cold weather, every trip outside turns into a test for people who wear glasses. I put on my mask and lenses in the fog. I went into the store and the glass immediately turned white. Wipes run out quickly, and sprays leave streaks.

But everything is much simpler. There is a homemade solution that can be prepared in 20 seconds from what is found in any kitchen. It creates an invisible film on the lenses that prevents moisture from beading. The view remains clear even with sudden changes in temperature or on a stuffy bus.

To prepare the solution you will need:

water – 50 ml
fragrance-free liquid soap or baby shampoo – 2-3 drops

What to do:

  • Mix the ingredients in a small container or spray bottle.
  • Before application, wipe the lenses with dry microfiber, they should be clean and free of grease.
  • Apply 1-2 drops of solution to each lens, or a light spray if using a bottle.
  • Blend a thin layer with clean microfiber until completely transparent.
  • Let it dry for 10-15 seconds and you are ready to go.

The secret is that soap makes the surface of the lenses hydrophilic. Moisture does not form cloudy drops, but is distributed in an even, transparent film.

The effect lasts up to 12–24 hours depending on humidity and temperature. Suitable for any glasses: with diopters, sunglasses, with anti-reflective coating. Does not damage the spraying, does not leave an odor and does not require special purchases.
