In Krasnoyarsk in a building with an area of more than five thousand square meters the former “Yenisei Gallery” on Dubrovinsky Street inaugurated National Center “Russia”. On December 14, the unique complex, reflecting the diversity of life in the Siberian region, received its first guests, including high-ranking officials.
First Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko congratulated Krasnoyarsk residents on this significant event via video link, who read out a greeting from Vladimir Putin:
“Your Siberian region is famous for its rich history, significant contribution to the strengthening of Russian statehood, to the development of the domestic economy, industry, and fuel and energy complex. I am confident that the branch of the National Center “Russia”, located on the picturesque embankment of the Yenisei, will become a real point of attraction for business and friendly communication between residents and guests of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.”
On the opening day, the first excursions took place at the National Center. Yes, gGovernor Mikhail Kotyukov and General Director of the National Center “Russia” Natalya Virtuozova got acquainted with the locations of the exhibition zone, where the rich natural, cultural, historical, educational, sports and industrial potential of the region is presented: information about energy resources and minerals, flora and fauna, enterprises and organizations of the region. The names of the thematic zones: “First impulse”, “Heart of the system”, “Museum of Heat”, “Breakthrough beyond the horizon”, “Strength in man” and others. Each location features unique models; one of the most impressive exhibits of the exhibition is a 16-meter model of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
“This space is about our big and small homeland, about our people. There is a place for everyone here, and everyone here will feel proud of their country. This is not the first day I’ve been here, and our entire team is simply in love with the residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, their desire to create and be the best, in love with this atmosphere, the beauty that surrounds us,” Natalya Virtuozova shared her impressions.
The governor of the region, Mikhail Kotyukov, noted that the center was created for the whole family:
“Everyone will find interesting things to do: children, parents, grandparents. You can come together and see the history of our region, the history of the exploration of Siberia and its development. Here is presented everything that the Krasnoyarsk region is proud of today, and here are our most daring plans and ideas. So that the guys who are the first guests of our center today see this future, see pride in the historical victories of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers. And it is here that we will together create the future of our native Krasnoyarsk region and increase the power of our great, beloved Russia.”
In addition to the large-scale exhibition area, in the gallery on the banks of the Yenisei, a zone of cultural and business events is open to guests, where events of federal and regional scale are planned – multi-format and conference rooms, several meeting rooms, a press center, and a plenary meeting hall are equipped here. The national center also opened gastronomic rows where you can try Siberian dishes, a Rossiya department store with products from Russian and local brands, a cinema and a theater stage.
From December 18, it will be possible to visit the National Center in Krasnoyarsk independently or as part of organized excursions, registration for which is already open on the website.
Let us remind you that, on behalf of President Vladimir Putin, national centers will operate in five regions of the country. The first one opened in the fall in the Far East – its symbol was the Ussuri tiger, the image of which adorns the letter “O” of the Primorsky Scientific Center. In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, two grayling fish, personifying the Yenisei River, became such a symbol. On December 16, Khanty-Mansiysk will take over the opening baton, and next year national centers will open in Ryazan and Sevastopol.
