– Today is the last day when you can apply for a heating voucher. (…) I think that in a few weeks we will have final data on how many applications for the first part of 2026 have been submitted in this first so-called batch, because this is also support that will be present in 2026 – said the Minister of Energy on Monday in Program One of Polish Radio.

Motyka noted that an application for a voucher can be submitted both via the mObywatel application and in person at the office. – Officials will be happy to help you with all the details – assured the minister.

Anyone who is late will have no chance of getting money

Poles paying high heating bills received the opportunity from the government new support – a heating voucher. This benefit is intended to help people with lower incomes. They can apply for a subsidy to cover the costs of heat from municipal heating networks. The game is worth the candle, because you can receive it for your household in the next two years a total of up to PLN 5,250.

Here are the conditions you must meet…

The provisions of the act introducing the heating voucher entered into force on September 30 this year. According to them, households can apply for a voucher twice, the first time for the period from July 1 to December 31 this year, and the second time – for the entire year 2026. In this case, applications can be submitted from July 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026.

The voucher is addressed to households that: earn a monthly income equal to or lower than PLN 3,272.69 in the case of single-person households and equal to or lower than PLN 2,454.52 per person in the case of multi-person households. In addition these households must use system heat provided by the energy company and pay for heat above PLN 170/GJ.

The head of the Ministry of Energy also said that electricity tariffs for 2026 are still being determined, but – as he noted – he expects that they will be below PLN 500 per megawatt hour, i.e. below the price frozen this year, and therefore electricity bills will not increase after the New Year. Motyka also emphasized that none of the fees determined by the regulation of the Minister of Energy will increase from January. (PAP)
