Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski is to receive such a pension. “'Valuable' retiree”
The priest's possible retirement was calculated by Krakow priests who are opposed to the archbishop. Jędraszewski. “I value it at 25,000” – one of them tells “Gazeta Wyborcza”. The bishops' pension consists of three main components: a benefit from ZUS, a benefit financed from the Church Fund, i.e. money from the state budget managed by the Ministry of Interior and Administration, and diocesan or church benefits. In the latter case, it concerns, for example, free housing or reimbursement of medical costs provided by the diocese, curia, order or other church institutions.
