In Krasnoyarsk, design documentation has been prepared for the restoration of the facades of the merchant Tokarev’s mansion with the Grandhotel hotel at 76 Mira Avenue.

According to the Service for the State Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects, it is planned to completely recreate the historical appearance of the 1915 building. Restorers will restore the lost decorative elements of the southern facade, carry out painting in accordance with archival research, repair the brickwork and return the historical window and door fillings. Architectural lighting will also be installed.

The mansion, built at the end of the 19th century, was originally the apartment building of the merchant Tokarev. Later it housed furnished rooms in the Grandhotel and Metropol hotels. In 1913-1915, the building received a third floor to house two shops. The second floor was rented by a bank, and the third was residential space. Now the Krasnoyarsk Regional Institute for Educational Development is located here.

The restoration will be part of preparations for the celebration of the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk. Previously, 9.6 million rubles were allocated for the development of scientific and design documentation for these works.
