A Krasnoyarsk resident heading to Moscow did not have time to board because he fell asleep in the waiting area, and asked via the Rospotrebnadzor hotline whether he was legally not allowed on the plane. The department's press service shared the answer.

As the man said, he arrived at Krasnoyarsk airport, checked in for a flight to Moscow, checked in his luggage and, while waiting to board, accidentally fell asleep. When he woke up, he discovered that the landing had completed a few minutes ago. Despite the fact that the plane was still at the terminal, the passenger was not allowed on board, and his luggage was removed from the flight.

Rospotrebnadzor referred to the Federal Aviation Regulations. According to clause 90, the passenger is obliged to arrive at the boarding gate no later than the time specified on the boarding pass. In case of delay, the carrier has the right to refuse transportation and remove baggage from the aircraft.

In addition, experts emphasized that neither the airline nor the airport are required by law to search for registered passengers. Thus, the argument that the employees did not try to wake up or find the person has no legal basis to challenge the carrier's actions.
