The mayor of Iași, Mihai Chirică, responded violently to PNL deputy Alexandru Muraru, after he publicly criticized a critical reaction of the mayor to the Recorder documentary on justice. Chirîca insulted Muraru on a Whatsapp group in which the latter was also present.
On the WhatsApp group where there are about 50 liberal mayors from Iași county, Chirica wrote several messages in which he offended the deputy.
The police, an unexpected attack on their minister, Cătălin Predoiu: “If Romania had ten people like him, probably there would be no one left to turn off the light”
“The Muraru herd comes out to attack me when they are forced to make peace in the house of the Romanians”, wrote the mayor of the municipality of Iași, according to the Iași Reporter publication
Chirica claimed that “we are starting over with all the political losers” and that “enmity divides, stupidity kills and infidelity breaks the relations between us”.

The mayor continued with a suburban language: “well, sad paw, Muraru Alexandru (…) your right or left hand will hurt, as the case may be.” He claimed in the messages that he knew Muraru was on that group.
“Why should we burn the country, Mr. Muraru? Shame on you, vipers who intoxicate you and look at me, I fought chest to chest with Dragnea, Iliescu I'm playing with you! (I know you're on the group!)”.
Alexandru Muraru is a deputy from Iași and one of the vice-presidents of the party at the national level.

Chirica confirmed the messages
Contacted by Hotnews, Chirica admitted that he wrote the messages.
“In the public space, we are all very fair and polite. In private, however, mature people know that some things are said directly, manly, without detours. Yes, maybe some expressions were too strong. It happens. Those who served in the army know that even in politics there is no place for only young ladies and sweet words. What is not said as strongly is that, for years, there has been pressure exerted by some leaders “put by the hand”, completely broken by the reality of the people, to dynamite the branch from the inside. The habit of doing laundry in public, at foreign doors, instead of having a direct dialogue, is equally harmful,” the mayor of Iasi told HotNews.
