Judge Raluca Moroșanu, interview for the Recorder. “I will say it directly and very clearly”

Recorder announced that on Sunday evening it will publish an interview with judge Raluca Moroșanu, who stood in solidarity with a magistrate who appeared in the documentary “Captured Justice”, at the beginning of the press conference held by the heads of the Bucharest Court of Appeal.
“I have 26 years as a magistrate, 19 of which at the first criminal section of the Bucharest Court of Appeal,” said the judge in a video promoting the interview.
The magistrate who stood in solidarity with her colleague, judge Laurențiu Beșu, who spoke in the documentary “Captured Justice”.
“It is my duty to answer the people who came to the streets and who I suspect expect more from me than what I said in the press conference. It was a short message and that's how I wanted it to be, a short message. Because my colleagues are still afraid. And I think I have to do something if I still took the first step, it would be good to continue,” said Moroșanu.
The magistrate believes she will be disbarred from the judiciary after this interview, “but this is no longer of any importance to me”.
“So I will say it directly and very clearly!”, the judge also said in the video promoting the interview that will be published on Sunday.

The moment on Thursday from the press conference of the management of the Bucharest Court of Appeal, which featured Raluca Moroșanu, went viral, provoking a strong wave of public emotion.
After this moment, the magistrate reacted with a short message posted on Facebook, in which she thanked those who support her and judge Laurentiu Beșu.
Before the heads of the CAB took the floor at the press conference organized on Thursday following the Recorder revelations about the justice system, Moroșanu had a message for the journalists present.
“I am here to support my colleague Laurentiu Beșu and to say that everything he said is true, the management is not helping us in any way. We are simply terrorized, with disciplinary actions and with everything you know is happening to us. I don't want to tell you what the atmosphere is like and what a toxic and tense situation we are in,” said the judge.
“If it will be contradicted it is a lie”. The leadership does not help us in any way. We are terrorized,” said Moroșan.
“A part of my colleagues agree with me, I don't know what the other part will do, here are some who will probably support the leadership. So as a parenthesis – I was neither an undercover officer, nor at 'Two and a quarter', anywhere. I was a magistrate all my life. My colleagues in the country know me, because I was also a trainer at the National Institute of Magistrates and the National School of Clerks for almost 15 years. And they will know that I'm not lying, if you don't believe colleague Laurentiu, at least believe me. That's all I could say,” she added.
Judge Raluca Moroșanu is an expert in the criminal field, author of several specialized titles that form the basis of law students' training. Trainer at the National Institute of Magistracy and at the National Clerk's School, Raluca Moroșanu was a member of the drafting committee of the New Code of Criminal Procedure.
