The head of the diplomacy of the European Union, Kaja Kallas, denounced on Sunday the “awful images of Israeli hostages” and demanded their “immediate” release, after publishing videos by Hamas and Islamic Jihad, AFP reports.
“The images with the Israeli hostages are terrible and demonstrate the barbarism of Hamas. All hostages must be released immediately and without conditions,” Kallas wrote on the social network X, according to news.ro.
The publication, on Thursday and Friday, of some videos showing two weakened Israeli hostages aroused great agitation in Israel and reappeared the debate on the need to reach an agreement as possible. In these images of propaganda, the two captives appear very weak and weak, in a staging meant to make a parallel with the current humanitarian situation in Gaza.
“Hamas has to deposit his weapons and put an end to his domination in Gaza,” said Kaja Kallas. “At the same time, it has to be allowed to provide humanitarian aid widely to people who need it,” she added in an allusion to Israel.
