Germany's players received a record first time to qualify for the final
Qualifying for the World Cup finals also brought an important financial reward for Germany. The women's national team received a bonus of 300,000 euros from the German Handball Federation, an amount that will be divided between the players.
It is the biggest prize ever awarded to the German women's national handball team.
If Germany wins the World Cup final, the total bonus will reach 425,000 euros, according to the publication Handball-World.
