An elderly Krasnoyarsk resident deliberately damaged his car (video)

In Krasnoyarsk, police detained a 63-year-old man suspected of intentionally damaging a car.
The crime was committed in October of this year in one of the courtyards on Voronova Street and was caught on a video surveillance camera. The footage shows how the attacker, passing near the Toyota Prius, kicks it and continues on his way.

The car's alarm went off, its 37-year-old owner went downstairs and saw damage to the front right fender. The amount of material damage amounted to about 114 thousand rubles.
“Criminal investigation officers identified the man and detained him. The perpetrator turned out to be the victim's previously unconvicted neighbor. He explained his action by saying that he did not like the way the car was standing, which was preventing him from passing,” the police said.
The man partially compensated the car owner for the damage. However, in A criminal case was opened against him under Part 1 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Deliberate damage to someone else’s property”, which provides for the following types of punishment: a fine of up to 40 thousand rubles; or compulsory, corrective or forced labor; or arrest for up to 3 months; or imprisonment for up to 2 years.
