A weather phenomenon affects the roads in more than ten counties. Recommendations for drivers

Meteorologists announce fog code yellow in several counties of the country. The police call for drivers and pedestrians to drive with caution, in the context of the weather phenomenon.

The National Meteorological Administration announces that until 10:00 a.m., there is a yellow fog code in the counties of Tulcea and Constanța.

“There will be fog causing reduced visibility, locally below 200 m and isolated below 50 m”, announces ANM.

Until 09.00, there is fog in the following counties: Brasov, Sibiu, Ialomiţa, Teleorman, Dâmboviţa, Gorj, Olt, Dolj, Vâlcea.

Recommendations for drivers

“The Infotraffic Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police informs that, at the level of the country, it is mainly driven on a wet road, without precipitation, in foggy conditions with reduced visibility below 200 meters, isolated below 50 meters”, the Infotraffic Center sent.

There are no reported accidents that would cause traffic restrictions on highways or national roads.

And on the main roads, namely the A1 Bucharest-Pitesti, A2 Bucharest-Constanța, A3 Bucharest-Braşov, A0 (Bucharest ring road), road traffic is carried out on a partially wet road, with reduced visibility in some places below 100 meters.

“Drivers are advised to reduce speed and increase the safety distance between vehicles, to use the lighting systems properly, to avoid sudden braking and risky maneuvers! We recommend pedestrians to avoid using the roadway at night, in conditions of reduced visibility”, advise the police.
