
The difference in the level of tax burden between individual regions of Russia reaches nine times
The largest tax burden in 2023 was recorded in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – it amounted to 56.64% of the gross regional product (GRP).
The lowest level of tax burden was observed in Dagestan – in 2023 it amounted to just over 6% of GRP. The regions with the most modest tax burden relative to GRP also include the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and Chechnya.
The national average load level was 25.7% of total GRP.
