In Krasnoyarsk, employees of the Ministry of Ecology carried out inspections at enterprises during the regime of unfavorable weather conditions.
The Ministry of Ecology recalled that the NMU regime was in force in the city from 19:00 on December 8 to 07:00 on December 11. These days, the entire environmental control system – inspectors, mobile laboratory, Monitoring Center – worked in enhanced mode.
Inspections were carried out jointly with the Krasnoyarsk Environmental Prosecutor's Office at 8 enterprises. Three of them lacked plans to reduce emissions during the NMU period and no industrial environmental control programs. In addition, at one of these violating enterprises, an individual entrepreneur used coarse coal in heating equipment with manual fuel supply. This is a violation of the law.
“We have requested documentation for all identified violations, and we will send information based on the results of the raids to the prosecutor’s office to take response measures. This time, the violators include two individuals – owners of industrial premises that are heated by boilers that are prohibited for use. They also face administrative liability, including large fines,” said First Deputy Minister of Ecology of the region Yulia Gumenyuk.
At the same time, the mobile service of the regional Monitoring Center operated. The ministry's hotline received 20 calls from residents about air pollution. Experts collected about 150 samples, primarily in areas where complaints were received. On 2nd Krasnoflotskaya Street, an excess of carbon monoxide was recorded (1.14 MAC). During operation from December 8 to 11, no cases of high or extremely high air pollution were recorded at the stationary monitoring posts. At the same time, 37 episodes of exceeding both one-time and average daily concentrations of pollutants were identified.
