The Ministry of Ecology of the Krasnoyarsk Territory has tightened control over boiler installations

17 November 15:12

Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the police identified violators using outdated boilers to heat enterprises.

The raids took place in the Oktyabrsky, Leninsky and Zheleznodorozhny districts of Krasnoyarsk. At 8 sites, inspectors found that boiler houses with manual loading of coal, prohibited since September 1, were still being used there. Let us remind you that for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in the region there are restrictions on the use of brown and hard coal in non-automated boiler houses.

At one of the concrete production enterprises, boiler equipment did not meet environmental requirements, and the facility itself was not registered as a source of negative impact. At another facility, the boiler room met the standards, but the source of emissions was not registered with Rosprirodnadzor. On all identified facts, materials were sent to the prosecutor's office.

“Work with entrepreneurs is under special control,” noted First Deputy Minister of Ecology of the region Yulia Gumenyuk. — Over the course of the year, we conducted preventive conversations and consultations for businesses, and developed support measures. A third of organizations heard us and switched to environmentally friendly heating, but two thirds do not comply with the requirements. For violations, entrepreneurs face fines of up to 500 thousand rubles. Based on the results of the inspections, we file claims in court demanding the dismantling of non-environmentally friendly equipment.”

Let us remind you that the regional authorities have developed support measures for small and medium-sized businesses to switch to more environmentally friendly heating. Businessmen can receive preferential loans and microloans, subsidies to reimburse part of the costs of modernizing heating systems. More than 200 business representatives have already expressed their willingness to participate in the Clean Air program, and there are also those who have taken advantage of the support measures.

Reconnecting enterprises to environmentally friendly heating equipment is part of the large-scale work being carried out in the region to improve air quality as part of the “Ecological Well-Being” national project.

City residents can report sources of pollution, unpleasant odors and other violations by calling the ministry’s 24-hour hotline: 8-800-20-11-116. Incoming signals will be used to conduct checks.
