Denis Petrovsky spoke about the sporting achievements of Krasnoyarsk residents in 2025

Minister of Sports of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Denis Petrovsky presented the main achievements of the industry in the past year at the final seminar-meeting.
The work was carried out in accordance with the Strategy for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports until 2030 and the regional state program “Development of Physical Culture and Sports”. It was necessary to involve as many people as possible in physical education and increase the competitiveness of Russian athletes. According to preliminary data, this year the level of satisfaction of residents of the region with the conditions for physical education and sports will be 65.6%.
This figure was achieved thanks to the work of clubs at the place of residence, the implementation of the “Siberian Longevity” and GTO projects. The circle of citizens who can visit sports facilities for free has been expanded. These are participants in the special operation and their relatives, as well as children from large and low-income families.
A physical education and sports center was opened in the village of Irbeyskoye, and an indoor swimming pool was opened in Sharypovo. A sports ground with digital services was equipped in Minusinsk. In 30 municipalities, complex playgrounds for outdoor games, football and hockey fields appeared – a total of 31 objects.
“In the area of adaptive sports, various competitions are held for participants of the Northern Military District, including the Fatherland Defenders Cup. as well as sports competitions for children with disabilities. Municipalities annually receive a subsidy from the regional budget for the purchase of specialized vehicles for transporting people with disabilities, sports equipment, inventory and equipment. In 2025, 16 municipalities received support for the development of adaptive physical culture and sports,” the Ministry of Sports added.
In 2025, 1,232 sporting events of various levels took place in the region. Athletes of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as part of sports teams of the region and the country, won more than 700 medals at championships in Russia, Europe, and the world.
In 2026, the region will continue to develop mass sports, prepare Krasnoyarsk athletes for successful performance at prestigious competitions, and introduce digital technologies for the convenience of residents of the region.
