The acceptance of applications for the post of head of Krasnoyarsk has been completed; three candidates have submitted documents to the competition commission. The governor of the region, Mikhail Kotyukov, announced this during a direct line, answering a question from a city resident.

According to the head of the region, the procedure for studying and verifying the submitted documents is now underway.

“Now we see that not all candidates have a complete package of documents. There are no certificates of property or income, and this is an important component of the work of a municipal leader,” explained Mikhail Kotyukov.

He clarified that in the coming days the governor’s administration will complete the verification of documents, having received responses from all necessary government bodies. After this, the candidacies of those who pass the documentary check will be submitted to the City Council for consideration.

“Our deadline is the middle of next week. I am confident that we will clearly cope with this task, and the City Council will already receive candidates for detailed consideration,” the governor added.

Mikhail Kotyukov also expressed confidence that a new city leader will be approved in Krasnoyarsk by the end of this year.
