“The ministry is a big colossus, a large number of tasks of internal, bureaucratic processes. Therefore, in my place outside the system, it is easier for me there, for example, from an office on the first floor to immediately go to the sixth and then to the second, because I do not need to move through the hierarchy. Therefore, I can allow myself, as they say, to come stomping my foot: “Well, please, give me, because this is what I see and what hurts me.” The minister has a thousand things to do there at the same time. And the fact that I come with this piece, this is one of thousands of cases,” Serga explained.
He added that he constantly comes to Sibiga with initiatives, “counting on the resources that his team has.”
“For example, I know that some delegation is coming, well, I don’t know – the German Minister of Defense. And I can come and say: “Listen, we can do this, but here we can also prepare this.” And we will do it ourselves. Just give us a time period. And therefore, probably, this cooperation is effective, that I never come with requests. I come with proposals, and with proposals where I need some kind of minimum signature or a minimal call somewhere, and I’ll do the rest myself,” he said. “And this is where our assistance with Andrei Ivanovich is effective.”
The showman assured that Sibiga never has any questions about what he does.
“Because he knows that if I don’t call or write there for three months, then I’m doing these three months without him. If he doesn’t call me or write for three months, I understand that he can cope without me. But there might be some event, some delegation coming and we need to emotionally hit them. That’s it – we get involved. The president still plays a key role in foreign policy now,” Serga concluded.
Context
Serga was born in 1989 in Cherkassy in the family of a military man. In 1994, the family moved to Odessa. Graduated from Odessa State Ecological University (specialty – “HR Manager”). During his student years he played in KVN and was a resident of the Comedy Club.
In 2009, he took part in the show “Star Factory 3” on the “New Channel”, took third place, after which fame came to him. After the show he founded the group “The Kolya”. He released two albums: Sex Sport Rocknroll (2015) and “Osenilo” (2016).
He hosted several seasons of the show “Heads and Tails,” which aired in Ukraine and Russia.
After the annexation of Crimea and the beginning of Russian aggression in the Donbass, he lived in Moscow for several years. In 2019, he studied acting at the New York Film Academy for six months.
Following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, which began in late February 2022, Serga signed a contract with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
