How much will the indexation of Andrzej Duda's pension be in 2026? This is how much the former president will gain

Andrzej Duda can gain about PLN 600 gross per month – according to “Fakt” calculations. It is worth emphasizing, however, that the former president will not receive additional benefits, such as a thirteenth or fourteenth pension.
Andrzej Duda's term of office ended in August 2025. For three months after leaving office, the former president continued to receive his previous remuneration. In November, he was paid the so-called presidential retirement.
Andrzej Duda's presidential pension – how does it work? Amounts
The presidential pension is a special benefit that every former president is entitled to, regardless of age and income. However, the payments do not come from ZUS or KRUS, but are financed from the budget of the Chancellery of the President.
The benefit is 75 percent. the president's remuneration, which translates into PLN 19.7 thousand. PLN gross per month. On hand it's about 11 thousand. PLN, but Andrzej Duda received less – PLN 9,349.
As Piotr Juszczyk, a tax advisor at inFakt, explains in an interview with “Fakt”, the former president most likely fell into the second tax bracket, which means the need to pay 32% PIT tax. It is worth adding that from January to October, Andrzej Duda also received a presidential salary, which influenced the amount of tax.

Pension indexation. Andrzej Duda with a higher benefit
Like his predecessors, Andrzej Duda can count on indexation of his benefits. According to the adopted budget act for 2026, the increase will amount to 3%, which corresponds to the increase in salaries in the public sector. As a result, the presidential pension will increase by approximately PLN 600 gross, reaching the level of PLN 20.3 thousand. PLN gross per month.
It is worth noting that the indexation of benefits paid from the social security system, such as pensions and annuities, will amount to 4.88% next year. This means that the raise for the former president will be lower than that received by other retirees. However, next year's indexation will be the lowest in years, which is the effect of falling inflation.
