Deputies of the Krasnoyarsk City Council visited school No. 148 named after Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Borisevich

Deputies of the social policy commission of the Krasnoyarsk City Council visited school No. 148 named after Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Borisevich and discussed the system of patriotic education there.
The head of the main education department, Marina Aksyonova, said that events dedicated to the theme of patriotism have been held continuously for decades in all educational institutions of the regional center. In 2025, which was declared the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the work was intensified.
The number of events aimed at instilling patriotism, civic consciousness and introducing children to the cultural heritage of the country and region amounts to thousands. All of them contribute to the civic and patriotic education of the new generation of Krasnoyarsk residents.
“Now the task of each of us, those who work in the education system, is to unite, remember our roots, our history and educate not only children and teenagers, but also adults, their parents and even teachers. After all, education is the basis of the state, the processes that we see in schools and kindergartens are a reflection of what is happening in society,” Marina Aksenova is sure.
Events are held both throughout the regional center and in each school and kindergarten individually. Thus, this year the patriotic festival “Krasnoyarsk. Chronicle of Victory. No statute of limitations,” in which 1.5 thousand schoolchildren took part. From February to May, the children studied archives, mastered various types of military training, created presentations about historical events and monuments of the Great Patriotic War, prepared theatrical performances and research projects. On the eve of Victory Day, the final performance of the festival participants was organized on Tatyshev Island.
Another large-scale event in the city was the All-Russian military-patriotic game “Zarnitsa 2.0”. It is carried out within the framework of the federal project “We are together” of the national project “Youth and Children”. In Krasnoyarsk, more than 31 thousand children aged from six to 21 took part in it. And on the final day, 1856 children and teenagers from the First Movement lined up in the number 80 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
In educational institutions, school museums play a key role in the issue of patriotic education. Today they operate in 101 educational organizations. It is interesting that the meeting of the relevant commission of the City Council was held in an on-site format at school No. 148 named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Borisevich, which has had its own museum for many years. The deputies got acquainted with the permanent exhibition dedicated to the memory of the veteran, and also learned that schoolchildren had already begun to collect information about modern heroes – participants of the Northern Military District. The school even has its own Post No. 1, where students keep watch.

Now the committee is collecting interesting and effective patriotic practices implemented in schools and kindergartens in the city, so that they can be adopted in all educational institutions of the city.
“Civic-patriotic education is the foundation of personality. Thanks to him, children develop a love for their family, for their small homeland, for the country in which they live, and an awareness of themselves as part of a huge state. The entire life strategy of students is created on the basis of civic-patriotic education. We give the children examples of heroes who are characterized by such qualities as discipline and dedication,” says Yulia Bushlanova.
The school has specialized classes in which training is conducted through the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Graduates have the opportunity to enter universities in the areas of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, military affairs, and the FSB. In addition, the school is implementing a project of the All-Russian children's and youth military-patriotic public movement “Yunarmia”. Currently there are 115 youth members here.
Deputy Chairman of the profile commission of the City Council Yulia Belogolova noted that deputies pay special attention to the development of patriotic education. People's representatives are confident that it plays an important role in shaping the civic position of young people and strengthening historical memory.
“In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory, it is impossible not to talk about patriotism. Educational organizations in Krasnoyarsk have accumulated enormous experience in the field of patriotic education. However, in addition to the military heroism of our people, we must not forget about their labor feat. This is also an important component of the civic identity of Russians. We saw this today in the museum of school No. 148, where through combat exhibits, photographs of heroes, and through household items, children better get to know the place in which they live and get acquainted with the cultural heritage of our Motherland. Separately, I would like to say that an important task that the modern education system solves is the immersion in Russian culture of adults and children who come to us from other countries,” noted the chairman of the commission.
