In January, during the XX Winter Surikov Arts Festival, Krasnoyarsk passenger complexes in Krasnoyarsk will turn into open concert venues as part of the special project “Musical Journey through Railway Stations.”
Passengers and visitors to Krasnoyarsk, Yenisei and Zlobino stations will once again have the opportunity to hear choral and orchestral music performed by Krasnoyarsk creative groups – chamber and brass orchestras, as well as a folk song ensemble.
The concerts will last from January 13 to 23. Performances will take place at the Krasnoyarsk station on January 13, 16 and 20, at the Yenisei station on January 14, 15 and 23, and on January 19 the concert program will await spectators at the Zlobino station.
The repertoire will include works by Russian and foreign classics, folk songs and romances, music from famous films and folklore compositions.
Everyone will be able to hear familiar works in a new way and appreciate the unique acoustics of railway buildings, thanks to which orchestral melodies and voices sound especially bright and unique.

The project “Musical Journey through Railway Stations” has been implemented by the Krasnoyarsk Railway together with the Krasnoyarsk Department of Culture for 8 years. Over the years, concerts at train stations have become one of the most anticipated events of the Winter Surikov Arts Festival.
