The Politico portal recognized President Karol Nawrocki as one of the 28 most influential personalities in Europe. It took 23rd position in the ranking. Politico recognized US President Donald Trump as the most influential.

In its annual ranking, the official presentation of which will take place on Thursday, December 11, Politico gives each of the classified personalities a nickname; Nawrocki was called “The Other Pole”.
The ranking aims to predict who will play a key role in the context of the Old Continent in 2026.
Introducing the Polish president, Politico noted that Prime Minister Donald Tusk wanted to take full control over national politics this year and place it in the central European discoursehowever, Karol Nawrocki's victory in the presidential elections thwarted these plans.
Nawrocki “turned the presidential palace in downtown Warsaw into an alternative center of power to the prime minister's office,” the portal noted. He pointed out that although the ruling coalition does not have a majority in parliament allowing it to override the president's veto, PiS, which supports Nawrocki, is also unable to win the vote on the legislative projects that are key to them.
The authors of the ranking noted that in the face of the challenges that Europe, including Poland, facesface in the international arena, internal conflict has an impact on international politics. “The Polish constitution gives the government priority in creating foreign policy, but the president retains key prerogatives, which means that Warsaw speaks with two voices in the international arena,” wrote Politico.
The portal reminded that – in its opinion – nThe most influential politician in Europe, Donald Trump, did not fail to openly support Nawrocki during his presidential campaign. The article noted that the US president assured his Polish counterpart that American soldiers stationed in Poland would remain in place.
In Politico's opinion the conflict between Nawrocki and Tusk is dangerous for Brusselsbecause both leaders, by directing their policies in opposite directions, make the eastern flank of the European Union “more divided than ever before.” (PAP)
