The Danube Brăila organizes between August 7 and 10 “Danube Cup”, one of the hottest training tournaments in the Inter-Sezon. Along with the host team at the competition, CSM Bucharest, CSM Corona Brașov and the Danish team Nykobing also participate.

“Our supporters are worth the show!”

The 4 teams will play each with each, the matches will be played on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Even though last year Brăila did not organize the tournament, the club management wants it to become traditional and the landmark to be the competition of 2023, when the Brest, Rapid and Vâlcea formations.

“We want to organize the Danube Cup every season. We wanted this year to have a strong tour in Braila, for several reasons, but especially for the team and supporters. Eventually everything we do has to be a show for the public.

I hope to succeed and our supporters are happy. Of course, there are only training matches, in which the coaches have the opportunity to test as many things as possible and the most important thing is for all the players to be healthy before the start of the championship, ”Adrian Manole told the GSP President of the Danube Club.

Brăila Danube dreams of the European Cups!

The President of Braila hopes that the 6th place occupied the last championship and the missed participation in the European cups will only be a syncope in the Danube team, with whom he dreams of winning a European Cup. He believes that the team has a future, after the youth team has won the title twice in a row and hopes that next season the seniors will not miss the European cups.

“It is clear that we want to be in a European Cup position again. We have set the 3rd place objective. We all know that in Romania the championship is very difficult from all points of view … My dream is for the Danube Braila to win the EHF Cup. I want enormously … I hope with all my heart to achieve this goal. Another dream is to constantly be a big family, as white-blue, and the games in Braila be a nightmare for any team, ”said Adrian Manole.

“The managers give safety to the teams!”

For 3 years at the Brazilian club and football, Adrian Manole believes that handball managers depend on the most important things in teams. With an approved budget for 2025 about 3.9 million euros, to which are added 700,000 thousand from sources attracted, the Danube Braila tends to become a solid construction in the Romanian handball.

“Everything starts from managers, leaders. The management must draw the lines, create the team's strategy and then must be taken by the club professionals, coaches and players, because they are the stars. But the frame and start must be drawn by management.

CSM Bucharest and Corona Brașov come to the tour with the best lots!

The spectators present at the “Danube Cup” will be able to see at work the new team of the CSM in Bucharest, prepared by Adrian Vasile, but also on the surprise last season, the vice-champion, coached by Bogdan Burcea.

“We are waiting with interest and even impatience to start the games. There will be three opponents who, I am convinced, will cause us to learn things about us as a team and about our game model. I think we have had a good training so far, and these matches will become a good opportunity to go to the next level,” Adrian Vasile told GSP.

“First of all, I want to thank the organizers for the invitation! We are honored to participate in this tournament in the company of such valuable opponents, opponents from whom we only have to learn, which can exponentially improve our level of play on all sequences.

We set some clear objectives on the game phases and I hope to achieve them during this tournament! I have maximum confidence in my athletes and I want to achieve the satisfaction of the work done in this difficult period of training! ”Said the coach of Brasov, Bogdan Burcea.
