The Association of Managers recognized MegaFon CEO Khachatur Pombukhchan as the best CEO in the country. He was awarded the main award of the Top 1000 Russian Managers rating – the best senior manager.
“Top 1000 Russian Managers” is considered one of the most authoritative business ratings and an important barometer of business reputation in Russia; victory in it indicates real recognition of the professional community. Previously, Khachatur Pombukhchan was already recognized as the strongest CEO in telecom; this award consolidates the results of his work at the level of the entire Russian business.
Under the leadership of Khachatur Pombukhchan, MegaFon went through one of the most productive periods in its history.

For the first time in the last ten years, the winner was a leader from the telecom industry – Khachatur Pombukhchan, whom the professional community recognized as “The best senior leader in Russia.” Under his leadership, MegaFon is successfully strengthening its position and showing results that serve as a guide for businesses throughout the country,” said Vyacheslav Evseev, executive director of the Association of Managers.
“There are no personal victories in management. Any personal award is the result of a team effort. This award once again confirms that MegaFon has one of the strongest teams in the country,” said Khachatur Pombukhchan.
In addition to the CEO, MegaFon’s strong position in the Top 1000 ranking was confirmed by 15 top managers of the company. The first places in their categories were taken by seven key directors of MegaFon: commercial director Dmitry Rudskikh, financial director Denis Fedotov, commercial director for development of corporate and government segments Emin Antonyan, director for strategic communications and brand development Elena Martynova, director for corporate development and personnel management Roman Ermolenko and others.
Eight more managers were among the top three strongest professionals in the country in their areas. The final positions in the ranking demonstrate that MegaFon’s business results were highly rated in several of the company’s most important areas of work.
The “Top 1000 Russian Managers” rating has been published annually since 2001. It is considered one of the most enduring professional reference points in the business environment. Its principle is “the best choose the best”: top managers of large companies evaluate the achievements of their colleagues in their areas. This format shows real recognition within the industry. The project is supervised by the Association of Managers, and the results are traditionally published by Kommersant.
