After the failure suffered in the round match, 1-2 at home, FCSB made an excellent start to the return from Hungary and opened the scoring as early as the 37th second. At the end of the first half, the score showed 3-2 in favor of the Romanian representative, and the table was not changed in the second half, although the Hungarians were outnumbered from the 31st minute. The fate of the qualification was decided in the penalty shootout, where Puskas Akademia U19 prevailed with a score of 4-2.

Alexandru Stoian and Matei Manolache converted penalty kicks for FCSB, while Luca Ilie and Robert Necșulescu missed. On the other side, only Barna Pal, the performer of the first shot, was the only one who missed.

In the second half, the game was totally influenced by the numerical difference. Puskas Akademia defended almost the entire time, so the only question was whether they would be able to hold out until the penalty shootout.

The Romanians kept trying and FCSB was close to the qualification goal, but Puskas Akademia survivedmade up for the numerical inferiority with a heroic defense and ended the second half without conceding a goal, so it came to kicks from 11 meters.

And it started badly: Barna Pal missed the first shot, but then Erik Magyarics, Zsombor Varga, Oliver Toth and, finally, Domonkos Asvanyi scored, and Puskas Akademia advanced thanks to the Romanians' misses: Luca Ilie's shot was parried by Mirko Bozo, and Robert Necșulescu sent over the goal. Thus, with 4-2, the Hungarian team entered the first 32 teams of the competition”, wrote the Hungarians from Nemzeti Sport.
