– mObywatel has become the most common application in Poland, used by nearly 11 million people – he emphasized.

Other priorities mentioned by Gawkowski include: creating a framework for the development of artificial intelligence in Poland and the construction of AI infrastructure, including artificial intelligence factories.

In 2026, the Ministry of Digitization will also focus on: further strengthening cyber resilienceboth in terms of cybersecurity and the fight against disinformation, announced the head of MC.

– Today, Poland is the country most attacked in cyberspace in the European Union, we are able to repel over 99 percent of attacks. We are showing Europe how to build strong cyber protection, he said.

Gawkowski also expressed hope that amendment to the Act on the national cybersecurity system will be on the president's desk early next year and that the president will sign it.

The Deputy Prime Minister announced that the implementation of the service will also be a priority for next year Advance Mobile Location (AML) in Poland. Its implementation is the fulfillment of the obligation set out in the European Electronic Communications Code.

MC is also expected to launch by the end of 2026 European digital identity wallet – pointed out the head of the ministry. According to the European Commission on its website, the digital identity wallet is a mobile application that will allow EU residents to securely identify themselves when using public and private services, as well as store and display digital documents, such as mobile driving licenses. The EU eIDAS regulation on this matter entered into force in May 2024 and assumes that European countries will implement wallets by December 2026. In mid-October this year the project's assumptions on this matter appeared in the government's list of legislative works.

As the European Commission points out on its website – Artificial intelligence factories are dynamic ecosystems that support innovation, cooperation and development in the field of artificial intelligence. The EC considered their creation a priority and planned to launch the first factories in 2025. Two AI factories are being built in Poland – in Krakow and Poznań. (PAP)
