Horrible words spoken at a soccer match in Italy's premier league: “Mummy must die!”

Repeated insults were uttered by the Italian footballer Michael Folorunsho to the mother of the Spanish player Mario Hermoso, words thrown during the match Cagliari – AS Roma 1-0 (14th leg of Serie A) and caught by the TV cameras.

The Sardinian player insulted the Spaniard with words such as “your mother is a bastard, your mother must die“! The 10-second moment was caught on TV cameras. The referee was distant at first, but then warned both players.

There is a risk that the Cagliari midfielder will not be penalised. The reason? According to the Code of Sports Justice, televised evidence cannot be used in this case.

Article 61 (paragraph 3) provides for their use “limited to acts of violent or extremely unsportsmanlike behavior or the use of profanity, unseen by the referee or VAR, with the consequence that the referee could not make a decision in this regard“.

Folorunsho put ashes on his head for the violence of the language: “I'm sorry, the adrenaline took over“.
