“We are fixing what should have been done for a long time! 23 million lei for rehabilitation, modernization and resizing Burns Center within the Floreasca Emergency Clinical Hospital. Today we approved the technical-economic indicators and the amount needed for the reorganization of the Burn Center within the Floreasca Emergency Clinical Hospital”, wrote Alexandru Rogobete, in a post on Facebook.
State-of-the-art equipment
According to the minister, the Burn Center will be equipped with high-performance systems and state-of-the-art equipment:
“Next comes the installation of an HVAC system to ensure microbiological, temperature and humidity control, the restoration and correct compartmentalization of the ATI areas, as well as the introduction of HEPA filters, to reduce the risk of nosocomial infections as much as possible. The center will also be equipped with the latest equipment. We will have 4 intensive care beds and 5 plastic surgery, reconstructive microsurgery and burn treatment beds, organized into 4 reserves. We are rebuilding the structure exactly as it resulted from the findings of the Control Body, according to the truth, not according to appearances. We're fixing what should have worked for a long time and making sure that, from now on, every decision has patient safety and the protection of medical staff at the center.”
Better “fewer beds but impeccably equipped”
The minister added: “I prefer to have a burn center with fewer beds, but impeccably equipped, where patients are treated with dignity and in safe conditions, and medical staff are not exposed to risks. Trust is good for us!”.
We remind you that, a day ago, Alexandru Rogobete said that, ten years after the Colectiv tragedy, he feels “shame”
