These reports were confirmed by the Governor of Irbil, Omed Khoshnaw, and later by the General Staff of the French Armed Forces.
The injuries suffered by the French soldiers are not serioushowever, the injured were transported to a medical center.
Additionally, no Peshmerga members were injured. Two drones were to be used in the attack, local Iraqi media report.
