Starting in 4 of the first 5 games of the Dutch in the current Champions League season, the Romanian international was removed from the first “11”, a move considered unexpected by the local media.
“Surprising! Dennis Man missing from starting XI”
Instead of Man, on the right side of the attack Paul Wanner, an attacking midfielder of only 19 years, was preferred, while the Dutch also noted other unusual tactical decisions by Bosz.
The local publication highlighted the total surprise:
That's because, surprisingly, Dennis Man is missing from the starting XI. Couhaib Driouech is appointed to replace Perisic. Also, Ricardo Pepi has to settle for a reserve role again.

Dennis Man, “doppietta” with Napoli in the UCL
Dennis Man has performed well in the Champions League this season, consistently contributing to PSV's attacking play, which is why Peter Bosz's decision has raised questions among Dutch journalists.
The Romanian was an integral player in 5 games in the Champions League, including in important duels, such as the victory against Napoli (6-2), in which the former player of FCSB and UTA Arad managed a “double”, but also in the victory, also by the same score, 4-1 against the “cormorants” from Liverpool.
In all competitions, Dennis Man scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists in 15 games for the Farmers.
