Orban also commented on a possible return to the PNL: “The decision is not only my decision, as far as we, the Force of Justice, are concerned. We are open to opening discussions, there must be openness on both sides. I admit that I had a discussion with the president Ilie Bolojan, in which we found that we are open to start discussions”.

“This result strengthens the prime minister's position”

Regarding the impact of the results, Orban emphasized that they “consolidates the reformist component within the government”. He added: “This result strengthens the prime minister's position, both within the PNL and in relation to his coalition colleagues, with the PSD. I hope that, after this result, the PSD will stop with the strategy they launched a month ago, get down to business, stop attacking and blocking decisions in the coalition”.

Regarding the relationship between the Palaces, Orban pointed out: “From my point of view, today's result only strengthens the relationship between the president and the prime minister“.
