Marcel Ciolacu's opponent for the leadership of CJ Buzău has only one conclusion after losing by score

The AUR candidate for the headship of the Buzău County Council, Ștefăniță Alin Avramescu, said on Sunday evening, after counting all the polling stations, that the low turnout calls into question the legitimacy of the one who is in the position of president of the CJ regardless of his name.
The AUR candidate thanked Buzoians for voting and that the political formation he represents is the only opposition to the Social Democratic Party (PSD).
“I want to thank all the people of Buzău who went out to vote and expressed their choice. We are coming after a month of difficult campaigning, but the result shows us something that probably many will overlook, AUR is the only real opposition to PSD in Buzău county, it is the only party that PSD is afraid of in our county”, said Ștefăniță Avramescu.
He pointed out that the turnout was small and does not give legitimacy to the one who will occupy the future position of president of CJ Buzău.
“Unfortunately, the attendance today was far below expectations, it is also a consequence of the way politics has been done so far. The low attendance calls into question the legitimacy of the one who is in the position of president of the CJ regardless of his name”, stressed Ștefăniță Avramescu, according to Agerpres.
“You cannot with a presence below 90,000 people say that that person has the legitimacy to lead the county. A low presence with a desperate party machine did nothing but make this result. We have to look at things with optimism and I would like it to be very clear that what we started this month will continue in Buzau for years to come,” the AUR candidate also stated.
The former social-democratic prime minister won the local elections for the vacant position of president of the Buzău County Council, with a double number of votes compared to the counter-candidate in the 2nd place, the AUR representative, Ştefăniţă Avrămescu. Ciolacu obtained 51.97%, while the AUR candidate received 27.03%, after counting all the minutes.
Ciolacu will lead the county until the summer of 2028.
