The Red Intervention Plan was activated on Monday, December 8, after a fire broke out at the Psychiatry Department of the Hunedoara County Hospital. 26 patients and 4 medical staff were self-evacuated.

“As a result of a fire at the Psychiatry Department of the County Hospital, the Red Intervention Plan stage I was activated, at 17:10. As a result of this event, 26 patients (19 women and 7 men), as well as 4 medical staff, self-evacuatedannounced on Monday evening, ISU Hunedoara, according to News.ro.

Several special vehicles from the Deva, Orăştie Detachments and from the Ilia Section were sent to the scene.

“The crews located the fire caused, most likely, by a short circuit in an electrical panel. After ventilating the spaces, the patients, helped by the firemen, returned to the building”the cited source also transmitted.

No one needed medical attention.
